As it stands, i have power to the fuel injectors but i could not feel or hear them pulse. When i disconnect the cold start valve the truck wont even stumble or start. Would a bad ignitor cause these symptoms? I know i have good grounds with no voltage drops. Do you guys recommend i replace both the coil and ignitor together or just the ignitor? I know these ignitors rarely go bad but i can't think of why else my injectors are not pulsing.

Thanks, Sam
Have you checked the connections to both coil and ignitor for corosion first? Check those first, like I said earlier, if you could find a buddy to check with his first it could save you some money. Sounds like you have narrowed down though. Just unplugging and plugging back can help sometimes.

The grounds that you need to check go into the ecu. The injectors are all wired together, and get constant 12 volts, when the ecu determines its time to squirt it grounds the injectors. So either your ecu is toast or you have a bad connection. Probably the latter. Try testing for continuity with a multimeter. Disconnect one of the injector leads, connect to the wire that does not have 12v. You will have to figure out which wire on the ecu harness is the injector. Connect it to that. If your wire has no continuity then it is bad
and must be replaced or repaired. Be on the lookout for loose connections and crazy looking electrical tape repairs, thats usually the culprit. Good luck!

P.S. I believe on my truck (94 22re)these ecu harness connections are No.10 & No.20, I have no idea why there are two of them, because as I said all these wires are run together. Any of the injectors grounds should have continuity with the harness side at the ecu.

it's alive, and i would never have bevieved it

well it's alive. The fuel injector screens and the fuel rail was plugged solid at the fuel injectors. It was a coppery type of silt. Totally wierd seeing as how there is an in tank filter and an engine bay main fuel filter. The tank seems pretty clean. I am hoping the new sump filter and main filter prevent this from happening again. Thanks to everybody for their help. The only problem now is that i slid into a tree, denting mt rust free 4Runner from the passenger door back I hope to post photos soon. Thanks, sam.
