Truck Just Started Missing

So I needed to run down to my employer to pickup some paperwork. Truck has been running flawlessly since I replaced the pick-up coil in the distributer (see some of my other posts). Sometimes I think this truck is possessed! Anyway, I stop at a red light (A/C on, it's 105 deg here) and all of a sudden the truck starts missing, badly, as in dead miss. I'm like WTF!!! Drive on to work, take care of business, and go to head home. I opened the hood and looked but didn't see anything obvious, so I figured I'd drive it home and check it more thoroughly there.

I get home and open the hood with the engine running, and it's definitely a 3 banger now. AHHHHHH... I look closer and I noticed #4 plug wire laying on the exhaust pipe (too long, I know). As soon as I touched the wire, I had a shocking revelation. The wire had burned through and was shorting to the pipe. As I yanked my hand away (writhing in pain) from the wire, it fell in a position no longer shorting, and I'm back to a 4 banger.

Off to the parts store for another wire set. This time I'll secure them better so we have no repeats...

Just had to rant...

Haha I got zapped pretty good about a year ago after installing a MSD ignition with a 50,000 volt coil. My whole right arm went numb up to my shoulder for about an hour. Ouch!
