I have an 86 22RE SR5 Pickup. I just replaced my cold start injector with a new unit and it still is giving me trouble starting on these cold mornings. Once it starts, it's good all day. I have heard there is a sensor and a switch or something to fix. I'm not too knowledgable when it comes to car electronics, I did take a course on electronics but it seemed just to cover the theory and it wasn't too applied. If anyone could shed some light on how to fix this, that would be great. School starts on wednesday and I commute in this truck, so I would like it to be running tip top. Thanks, Mike.

Its called a Cold Start Time Switch, its on the frt. of the head and should have a brown connector

Assuming that you are on the right track, The cold start injector is operated by the cold start injector time switch. It is the fattest of the sensor "thingies" near your thermostat.

Replacing parts till you get it to work can get awful expensive IMHO

yea the injector is a pricey peice, my old one cleaned up pretty good too, I'm kinda bummed. Thanks for the pointer, Ill check that out after I push the Post Quick Reply button. Thanks
