Troubleshooting Power Mirror Switch

Troubleshooting Power Mirror Switch
My power mirrors stopped working a couple of weeks ago, and I'm finally getting around to troubleshooting the thing. I get power to all of the other switches on the armrest, and to the radio, so probably not a fuse.
When I test the power mirror harness itself, I get power to the gray w/red stripe wire (far right in the first pic), so I'm attempting to check the switch itself but can't make since of the diagram below. Or rather, how to test it based on said diagram (I'm somewhat of a wiring n00b).
I'd also read where some have had issues with wires snapping at the door pass-through (some with the insulation intact), and others with ground fault issues. I would trace the ground wire back but can't figure out which one it is. Power is going to be #10 in the diagram, any idea what the ground is?
Any help is appreciated!

try to tug on the wires a little, mine would move a little, and just needed to lock in place. in other words, the metal that connects into the connector will loosen from the plastic connector, therefore not causing power to go through. this happened to me about a month ago. I removed door panels, because i dropped my credit card between the window, this is when i noticed it.

the wiring diagram shows you what terminals should be continuous when the switch is in a particular position
when it's off, nothing should be continuous
move left side up means 2 and 10 should be connected to each other, and 7 & 8 should be connected to each other.

how does this system work, is there a source power wire going to the switch. If so I'd check the continuities and see if the switch is getting power then go to the mirror and see if it's getting power.

Thanks, guys. Couldn't figure it out so I buttoned it all back up for now.
I do get power to the switch w/ignition ON (gray/red wire far right, above). While holding down the direction button, I get power to all wires, however, no mirror movement either side. While holding down the direction button and using my test light as a ground, I can get the mirror motors (both sides) to move ever-so-slightly.
So this tells me that I'm getting power to the switch/control pad, and the mirror motors are functional. And that it must be a ground fault somewhere. Would really help if I knew where the ground is...

if memory serves me correct, you may not have to pull the panel. the trim piece that houses the power window switches and power mirror switch, can be taken off with out pulling panel. (it is easier to maneuver with panel off) the wire connector is underneath the switch. pay attention to how the connector is connected, the way the conncector connects is a little weird. hope this helps

Thanks, BigDaddy (avatar cracks me up, btw), but I think we're talking about two different things. I just had the door panel off accessing the mirror control switch (that's how I got to the mirror harness in the photo above). I can assure you that you do, in fact, have to remove the entire door panel to get to the armrest - six screws secure it from inside the panel. Once the armrest is removed, then you can access the connector to the switch.
For some reason I was thinking from JamesD's post that there was another connector at, or close to, the mirror motor itself. Maybe not. I need to go to bed...
