Transmission- What is this?

I don't know which transmission I have. Its a 88 4runner 5 spd 4WD

Is something wrong here? What did this sensor connect to?

Also, I have one hanging plastic connector and one that is plugged in. That normal?

thanks

It couldn't be that obvious....or, could it? Maybe the wire in picture 1 goes to the plug in picture 2??

O.k., I'm not too familiar with that transmission/transfer case combo, but I believe that the one shown in the first pic there should be the 4wd indicator switch. It triggers the "4WD" light on the dash when you engage the 4wd.

You'll have to gimme a sec' on the other one.

The first pic is the 4wd indicator switch, and the second pic is the reverse light switch.

Thank you. I figured the electrical wire just wasn't long enough to reach that side.So simple. Again, Thanks
