transmission leak Help

transmission leak Help
4 runner, I had a little Transmission leak Which turned into a big leak. I was driving on the Freeway today with a bad ujoint the rear drive shaft that is connected to the tranny, Well the ujoint gave up while on the freeway, What can Cause it to become worse? as soon as i pulled over there was a big puddle of transmission fluid and now she wont hold transmission fluid.... Any Help?
