Transfer case leaks only in 4x4

My 94 Yota pickup only leaks while in 4x4. Transmission does not shift smooth till it is warmed up and odometer is not working. Any suggestions, looking for any input?

It is the 3.0 VZE DLX model. The transmission is only supposed to have 60K on it.

Can you see where the leak is coming from? Is it the trans? The tcase?

might help to clean everything up down there and then drive it to see exactly where it's coming from if everything is covered in oil.

There is a little black box 3 in x 3in attached to the transfer case, the oil is coming down and dripping off that. I have been looking at diagrams to find the name or part # but been have been pretty unsuccessful figuring out what name or part #. The oil is just dripping down not all over.

Hmm at the top where the shifter goes in? If so there is a gasket up there and two little pins holding the shifter in place. Those pins and wear can become loose and leak oil out of them (had this happen on my trans used from rtv to hold them in place and solved my problem).

maybe a picture would help if you can get one?

Looking at where it's dripping and how wet that trans pan is too I would probably clean it all off with brake clean or something similar and then reassess where the leak is actually coming from. It may not be the tcase but the trans pan (or well the gasket around it) or somewhere "up stream" and it's making its way there.

Example, my 5sp trans was leaking from the top shifter gasket it would drip down the trans and end up pooling exactly where yours is dripping. Took me cleaning everything to see it coming down the side of the trans.
