transfer case flange

I am going to be drilling new holes in the transfer case flange to match the new front drive shaft that I have. So my question is..... is there some type of crush sleeve or preload for the flange? Is it as simple as removing the nut, drilling the holes and putting the nut back on?? Thanks in advance!

Its that easy, make sure you re-stake the nut.
