Transfer case brake
since i have another truck anyone ever made their own. Using a yota rotor, brake caliper, t fitting tied into the brake line ? just curious if that would work. even you were able to fab a bracket .

If you think about it long enough...you'll realize how bad of an idea it is.
It's too complicated for one thing. And even if you did manage to make it work, it would be WAY heavier than it needs to be, and have WAY more braking power than is required for the purpose. It's kinda like swatting a fly with a sledgehammer.
The t-case brakes you can buy pre-fabbed are the best way to go. Or just copy the idea and make your own.

You mean sort of like this, but as a normal break and not an E brake?

yep if only i could have drawn that, only instead of having to replace the unit. replace the pads, like you do with disc brakes. i went with all pro's kit on my 89. just had some thoughts about it that's all. isn't that why we're all here and driving yota's ?
