Transfer Case ??

I posted this on Trail-Gear and got no response, maybe someone here can help...

So I have 90' 4Runner, 22RE, 5speed, with... a chain driven t case

Ok, I got a noob t case question...
I want to go duals of course someday, but for now I was just gonna run 4.7 in a single case. I know I need to find a donor gear driven case to accomplish this.

My first question is since I have forward shift on my tranny and t case, can I use the same rails to adapt to the gear driven case? Or will a forward shift gear driven case still match up without any more floor cutting? Or if I just use a top shift will this clear the tranny shifter?

Other dilemma. Will a gear driven case even match up to my tranny? I have heard a rumor that they wont, but no hard facts. I sure hope I don't have to find another tranny too...

Hopefully someone has already ran into this little problem and figured all this out. Any help is appreciated.

jake according to that site the chain cases were either top shift or had mechanical linkage on the side.(for auto)

Unless somebody's changed it, it should be a foward shift gear driven case.
