Trailer wiring

I just put the direct plug in trailer wiring harness on my 1994 Toyota Pickup and when I hit the brakes my turn signals light up just a little bit, but if I plug the light directly back into the factory harness it doesn’t light up. Anybody dealt with this before? I have converted all my lights to leds I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or not

That part is for a Tacoma https://www.partsgeek.com/ss/?i=1&ssq=43315&x=24&y=7 . Is it supposed to work on a 1994 Pickup?
