Towing a trailer ? & trailer lights are flickering ?

I recently installed a 4 way trailer harness on my 93 pickup. It was the simple to install. Just plug n play to the tail light.

Yesterday I purchase my new trailer (5x8 flat bed) , while towing it back home. I notice the lights keep flickering here and there.

Today I found the culprit. It was a bad ground . The ground from the harness too the truck. I originally had it scrwed behind the left side inside the back taillight to the trucks body .
Simply enough. I re-ground it to the bottom bumper. And viola . The trailer lights shined much brighter and stopped the flickering.

So moral, always have a good ground !

It makes it even better when you run another ground off the battery to the frame.

Does not help the starting or charging system but sure gives one a good ground at rear of the truck.
