Tractor muffler

Okay, before I ask this question, DO NOT FLAME ME FOR THIS POST!

I am asking this question for a buddy of mine in regards to his 94 4Runner...

Sorry in advance...

Alright, he's wanting to know if a tractor muffler, yes, a tractor muffler, would sound okay on his truck. Like I said, he's got a 94 SR5 4Runner V6 Auto.

He wants to know about how loud it would be in and out of the truck.

Yeah pretty much.
His stock muffler is shot, and the PO did the ever popular
cat-delete mod. He's got one off his old Ford tractor and is
trying to save a buck.

For the sake of giving him another option, how loud would a glasspack
be without a cat for a 3.0?

STRAIGHT PIPE, Jk. Common tractor muffler? Not enough back pressure if the diameter is to large. Also buy a Cherry Bomb glass pack, that should be red-neck enough hahaha.

Yeah I'd rather see him get a glasspack, honestly.
He wants interior resonance to help drown out some valvetrain tick,
so would the cherry bomb work there?

What? Somehow I don't think a cherry bomb and hi-flow cat
will make your truck sound like a Moody Blues song

Is your friend serious??? I wasn't sure what to think when I first saw this post, and I still don't know... So he wants to put a Ford tractor muffler on his Toyota???????????????????????

Why??? Doesn't the tractor need it's muffler?
Why a ford tractor muffler? Doesn't he know that the John Deere mufflers sound soo much better?

Well, I'm gonna try and talk him into a glasspack.
I knew it was a longshot, but I was kinda hoping someone here
had seen this done before to give a firsthand account
on how crappy is was.

if he already has the muffler have him put it on. then record a video of it so we all can hear and see the results. after he installs it then talk him into putting a different muffler on it.

The guys who did my exhaust used a resignator and apparently it is legally considered a cheap muffler so it is not as loud as a straight pipe so i dont have to worry about anyone complaining
