TPS feeler gauge

Where are you guys finding a feeler gauge for the TPS settings? No one around my area has them.Plenty of feeler gauges but none with the particular sizes.

Have you tried NAPA? They have quite a few. I think I stacked some to acheive thh required thickness.

Tried NAPA with no luck. I can't even get the right ones to stack and achieve the right size.

If you're only .001 off either way it's not going to matter.

About it too.

I think I stacked mine to like .557 or something like that and .889. I'd have to dig them out again.

It's a pretty knife edge setting so if you set the off idle first to just cut in, you should right on the closed throttle setting.

Yup, stacked them to be close to the desired measurement.

I bought a cheap set from Harbor freight and as I remember I was able to get spot on for the measurements. Somewhat frustrating locating/handling all those flipping thin ones so I finally just pulled the ones I needed and relocated them at the top so I can always get back to them easily.

I forgot to mention, while you are at it you might as well do the bolt swap on the TPS. It makes it MUCH easier to do when it is still on the truck. There are various posts on here about it and it only costs a couple bucks. I got all the stuff I needed at True Value.

Talking

Lucky Me! stopped by Pep Boys and they had an almost perfect feeler gauge that covers all the way up to a 1.00mm gap.
