Rough idle after rebuild 22re
Should the gasket between the EFI and Intake be sealed with rtv? Any way to check for leaks? I have heard using a propane cylinder but I am leery of the safety of this procedure.

Using propane won't cause you any problems. I prefer a non-volitile carb cleaner.. Just spray the joints.
I think you're on the right track, it's prob vac related.
I use a little RTV on mine, you should make sure that the surfaces are 100% clean though.

Had to replace the ECT sensor and it settled down a little. Starts fine with an excellent idle but it appears a sensor is the problem b/c about 20 -30 sec.after the initial startup as the idle kicks back it will start to idle rough. Could this be the TPS?

It may have been jarred around during rebuild. I have since taken it off to clean throttle body. Made marks on TPS and TB and re-aligned the two. I have sprayed TB cleaner around the TB to check for leaks. No problem there.
I was having trouble before I removed it. Made sure that the TPS was not sticking. Checks out good on idle and WOT but have been unable to check the other settings b/c of lack of proper feeler gauge.

Sorry , I forgot to mention that it misses through all ranges ,not just idle. Just seems odd that on initial start up she will purr until the throttle kicks back.I know it is possibly the TPS which I will check tomorrow, but what about the cold start injector switch?
I have no codes showing up. Oh the joy of electronics.
