Didnt older LandCruisers have the option of cable actuated lockers?

Well, you pull a level, which pulls a cable, which activates the locking mechanism in the diff which connects a side gear or axle shaft to the carrier thus preventing differentiation.

Not entirely sure when cable lockers became available on the Land Cruiser, but I would think it was about mid-80's and probably on the 70 series.

Electric lockers were available Tacomas and 3rd gen 4Runners starting in 1996 I think.

Pretty sure it was the 70s as well. I know they HAD the option, but did 60s have it too? Maybe non-N/A markets? mid '80s, either the Supra/Celica LSD or the LC cable locker.

With modification, yes. Do a search here, a few people have done it.
