Tire size OEM or not

Tire size OEM or not
My 1994 3vze has the Goodyear Wrangler RT/S 31x10.50R15LT tires.
Is this OEM?
I want to purchase new tires.
What is the original tire size for this truck? What is the tire size I should be using without making changes to the transmission?
Thanks for any assistance ...

Look on the plackard inside the lower part of the driver's side door jamb ( near the B pillar ). It should have tire size information listed there, as well as some codes that tell what the stock transmission is, as well as a code for determining differential gear ratios.

If you have 31" tires on now and the stock size was P225, then your mileage traveled (odometer reading) and your speed are off by about 10%. You would be traveling 10% farther (and 10% faster ) on each tire revolution. So if your speedo shows 50 mph, you are actually traveling about 55 mph, 60 would be 66, etc. This correction will also help with fuel mileage calculation, too .

31x10.50 was a factory option, but they were Bridgestone Desert Duelers.
Do a search for "diff codes" there is another site that tells you how to decipher the door jamb label for tire size and rear end ratio - that will lead you to what tire size options you have.
My '93 came with 31x10.50, manual transmission, 4.56 gears and I run 33x10.50 with no issues.

Just to follow up -- Mine came with 225's and 4.56's - A340H auto tranny. I run 31 x 10.50's with no problems. Here's the link to the site with the key to the door jamb codes regarding gearing.

my 3.0 auto came stock with 225s and 4.56 gears, but when i bought it 31s and AR (or similar) rims were already on it. i'm now running 32s and don't notice any difference at all. actually, it's still pretty peppy -- if it's not hilly terrain, of course
can anybody point a bruthah in the right direction for calculating how off my odometer is? (btw: i've already checked out 4crawler's page)

never mind my previous post; i just figured it out. p225/75s are about 28.5" -vs- my new 32x11.5s which are about 31.5".
using 4crawler's page -- http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/4LoCalc.shtml -- the one i couldn't find just a few moments ago
i guess it comes out to be about a 10% delta/difference.
so maybe my mpgs aren't as bad as i thought they were...

my spare was a p225/75, though, and the gear codes indicate 4.56, so it seems like that was the original setup. am i mistaken?
i'll give the GPS method a shot one of these days. it's not critical.

I believe mine came stock with 225s also. Looks like the original Bridgestone Desert Dueler was still under the rig when I changed to the 31's. But it kinda sux about the door jamb info. Now I'm curious about what gears I 'really' have. The door jamb info code says 4.56's. Gonna go jack it up and turn the wheel 2x ( open diff ).

They are on the ID plate, under the hood in most cases, may appear other places as well:
