tire air pressure? post yours!

I am running 305/70r16 BfGoodrich mudterrains which are pretty much 33's. I have A 1992 TOYOTA PICKUP EXC SHORTBED DLX and my tires dont even have 1000 miles on them yet, but i decided to check their PSI today in which i found one was at 40 two was at 38 and one was at 34. i looked at the maxium PSI which is 50. This seemed to be way to much to me.... so i evened them all out to 40 ive been getting bad gas milage lately and was wondering if this might be some of the culprit but anyways i was just wandering what other people are running because i drive mostly on the road and i was thinking of bumping them up to 45 PSI. Any ideas ? and sorry if this is a stupid Question

I run 10-15 psi on the trail. I run ~35 psi for the road. Ultimately, its up to your rig.

You can use chalk across the tread to check for over inflation/ under inflation

Red face

I run 35 psi in the front .235/75 /15

45 to 60 psi in the rear.

Then it is not uncommon to have a 1000 pound payload.

it comes down to your driving style the tires you have and how you use your vehicle.
