Are there any V6 1st gen runners?

You guys will have to pardon my ignorance I just got my runner in March and I LOVE IT. I also just joined the forums. I am thinking about getting a 1st gen and making it a better offroading machine. I do want to know if there are any 1st gen runners that are v6 because all I have seen are V4 thanks guyz

Yes,
My friend just got rid of an '89 and it was a V6, but if you found an '85 with a straight axle (i wish) you could have someone do the V6 swap. That would make for an even better off road machine

From: 100 miles offshore as much as possible, & Springfield Oregon USA
84-85 22RE 4cyl (a few 84 22Rs (carbureted) but not many)
86-87 22RE or 22RTE (turbo 4cyl)
88-89 22RE or 3VZE 3.0 V6

There were no V4s, the 4cyls are all I4s.

I had an '88 and it was the first year of the V6. i loved it. but now i've been thinking of getting another 1st gen, and i'd definetly look into a 3.4 swap with a sas for sure-

I just bought my 2nd 1st generation. I have an '86 4cyl / broke the timing chain munched the valves. Not sure if I want to spend the money to fix.

Last month I purchased a 1988 w/ a v6 automatic. I hear a lot of people complain about not having enough power, but mine does fine. I'm not going to break any land speed records, but it has much more get up and go than the 4cyl in the 86.

I liked the 86 so much that I had to have another, so I bought the 1988 from my sister. It is awesome.

88 with a V6 and an auto tranny. Wishing I had a five speed for daily driving, but like the auto for wheeling.
