so im orderin my gears and stuff off TG. when it says "ring and pinion set" does that mean for front AND rear?

No, a ring and pinion set would be one ring gear and one pinion gear (for one diff).

well youre going to order a v6 set for the rear and a 4cyl set for the front unless you have a v6 diff you are going to put in the front axle

Yep, two gear sets, two master install kits, and either buy all the tools to set them up yourself or pay someone $100-150 per to set em up.

o ya cuz they didnt have v6 in 85, so 4cyl 5.29 front and v6 5.29 rear. alrite thanks.

just a thought.... when i regeared, i just bought the 3rds ready to run. then sold the stock 3rd whole.... it ended up breaking even and it saved me a bunch of down time since i was able to just throw the 3rd in...... just a thought..

Good deal. I went with 5" front and rear from TG too. Just kinda wishing that I hadn't gone with the heavy duty front springs though. But it still flex's decently well (though it does much better now that I trimmed my body mount for full shackle mobility ).



But yeah, it'll sits real nice once your done and settled in:

Higher spring rating for people with v6 and v8 swaps. Harder to flex if you only have a 4banger in er.

The ride is... Well, it's a wheeling setup. You want to ride like a caddy, get a LT kit and some 63" chevs lol. But alot of the on road handling has to do with the shocks you get. I got the hard valved charged bilsteins for some killer dampening. You can definitely get "softer" shocks. But yeah, I never liked body roll, and I've got almost none of that haha.

o ok. ya i was told by a buddie 63'' chevy springs would be better than TGs. well im not to concerned bout the ride on the street as long as its not like ur bouncin round on a trampoline, it is my DD
