So I have a 87 std cab. The box is destroyed and I found after about a year a 90 box that was in Decent shape I've finished my painting snd bondo. What I questioning nOw is if the tail lights from the 87 will fit in the 90 box? Also my new box doesn't have a tail gate. It mounts using what looks like a bolt in style and my 87 has hinges bolted in. Are all the 89 to 95 gates that way or only 2wd ones?

 

same generation models bolt up with others of the same generation. your 87 lights will not bolt up to your 90 box. 2wd and 4wd boxes have only minor differences (for the same model and generation)

 

so any 89to 95 4wd and 2wd light will work? im going to upullrparts sat. hopefully they have my tailgate too

 

well looks like the trucks may be gone would 4 runners be the same. its saying theres a 91

 

4runners are not the same. they might fit (doubtful), but most of them don't have the reverse lights in the assembly
