Tackling the DT Header Install

Ok so im trying to get everything together to install the Doug Thorley headers on the ole 3VZE. Is there anything that I should know before diving into this? Ive read and re-read every thread I could find about these headers but im trying to cover all my bases.

What are some tips/tricks that will help this be as painless as possible?

Are there any items that ill need other than what DT sent in their kit.....gaskets, bolts...etc?

Does anyone have any detailed pics of their install that I could take a look at?

Thanks in advance....just trying to be as prepared as I can before breaking it all apart.

Ive always heard doug thorley headers are great. I would make as much room as possible make sure you have all necessary gaskets and hardware. Did you get any destructions with them???

Yeah Ive only heard good things about them so we will see. I bought these off of somebody and they didnt send me the gaskets but DT sent them out yesterday so they should be here soon. I do not, however, have the crush fittings for the pair and egr and DT is being stingy with theirs so im not sure what im going to do about that.

Besides header gaskets....what other gaskets do I need? Plenum and TB?

And yes I did get the destructions lol

When I did the Downey headers on my truck, they were used. I went to ace and found the copper crush fittings in the plumbing department along with some copper flex line for the egr. I'd give that a try.
