Thats funny.....should have seen the obnoxiously large safari type zebra stripes that were there....I agree just haven't done anything about them yet...they were temporary sort of like a Nightmare tattoo cover up....

I would simply make a template and then trace it to the diamond plate...then I used a fine toothed jig saw to make the cuts..the KEY is you HAVE to use WD-40 or something to keep the cuttings from plugging the blade and sticking it...I just spray a line of lube on the line I'm going to cut and if it doesn't cut easily and smoothly your not keeping it lubed enough....messy, but works awesome.
Then I used a belt sander to finish the edges and just bent the shapes by hand.
I even made the diamond plate around the TACH..... used a piece of steel to bend it around..there is a slit in the bottom of it that I used to spread and slide it over the tach housing.

Here are a few more pics of the custom diamond plate...

Your 4wd lettering looks like it was ment to have a drop-shadow effect, replace the pin striping and it should pop again. Unless of course you pulled the stripes off, In that case get it custom airbrushed with a grafitti style in place of the drop shadow.

I'd of bet that plate was cut with a good hydraulic shear and bent in a break 'till you mentioned if was jigsawed and I went back and noticed the fine details.

A black border on the dash plates would really make them pop aswell, black powder coat of even some fabric piping.

Does your deking over the draws lift up? We used something similar on a farm truck but couldn't keep tools in the drawers from ratting into a funny spot that locked the drawers shut so had to add a hinge.
