Steering Wheel Hub Compatibility

I might buy a used steering wheel and quick disconnect out of a 1985 pickup, I'm wondering if it will fit in a 1994 pickup?

doesn't the '94 have an airbag? the '85 probably doesn't, although maybe canadian versions did.

Yes it should fit. I have two friends who have the same QDs. One in a 88 4runner and one in a 92 pickup.
No airbags in pickups. They started in the Tacomas

According to this site, maybe not: https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/T...0035340J0.html

The easiest and (usually) most reliable method is to find the part on one of the many dealer sites, and click on the "What This Fits" tab. According to that site, a '94 steering wheel will fit just about every 4runner/pickup/T100 from 1990 through 1995, but not before.

This isn't always easy; there are several part numbers for steering wheels, as each color has its own part number.

FWIW, some '94s have a gas bag behind the wheel, but none were equipped with airbags.

What would be different? Isn't it just a shaft that the hub goes on?

Hmmm okay. I can probably make it fit, if not, I'll just buy a different hub.
