Steering rebuild

Well I went to get my 4runner aligned today because the front tires have some uneven and aggressive tire wear going on. The alignment shop says they couldn't do a thing to it because it needs..

A new Pitman and Idler arm, outer tierods (i'm assuming they mean the ends?) Sleeves, and possibly inners too. Also needs a new steering damper and shocks.

So, I am sure I can do all of these things but I have some questions..

Are there any special tools I'll need?

Where do you guys recommend I get my parts? (I don't want to use some made in china BS)

Is there any special procedure to tackling this job, like what to do first or what to look for before I go replacing things?

** they also said I need new sway bar bushings but I removed one of the connections on the sway bar a long time ago.. so.. don't need that.

i like using the clamp type to separate ball joint and tie rods instead of the pickle fork. clamp is like 6 bucks at harbor freight. when they are done aligning it, check to make sure they tightened everything...
