i've searched and come up with a different part number each time. what rebuild kit will work with my 94 pickup 3.0 4x4 manual trans. prefer toyota

 

A Toyota starter isn't that much. I think I paid around 70 for a new one at cost plus 10%. It's 20 years old so I just replaced the whole unit. This was a 22re starter tho...
Your local dealer should be able to provide you with what you need via Vin number.

 

the cheapo remans i've found around here are $100, i don't want to even think what a stealership wants. if i can rebuild it for $20, thats the route i want to take.

 

Toyota rebuild kit is available at the dealer, around $10 I believe.

 

28226-72010 for the motor side contact and 28226-72080 for the battery side terminal...11.09 & 13.88 through toyotapartszone.com.
