SR5 Gauge Cluster Improvised !!! Be truthful

OK, Some may not like this but here it is. I have been wanting a SR5 Cluster mainly for the tach as I already have a Volts and Oil Pressure gauge that I had installed the first time I owned my Toyota. I found a cluster on ebay for 55.00 that was supposed to be in great shape. Well the lens was cracked and separated from the black insert so I figured I would try to find a new lens for it. Last week I pulled my cluster to test the new one and adjust the potientiometer for a 4 cyl. When I plugged it up, I had no tach( needed to add the wire, no biggie), the fuel gauge didn't work( repin I guess) and the temp gauge read but was errratic. So i figured that that it would require another cluster and some time to figure everything out. In the mean time I was at Advance Auto and was looking at the gauges. I came across this small 2 5/8 inch tach for 32.00. The counter guy told me I could return iti if I didn't like the fit. Since I already have a volt and oil gauge I figured why not ?? So, I put it in and fixed a few dash rattles as well as painted the ash tray and some of the dash blanks that had faded over time. Not exactly Factory but I think it looks OK. I may keep an eye out for a SR5 tach and swap it in down the road.
Its a 1988 2WD Deluxe. The interior is in pretty good shape and the body is to but I need to paint it.

It works for me. If it has been a giant 6" tach like the wanna be fast and furious clones have my opinion would be somewhat negative

Nice installation and clean interior. You have an OEM tape/radio. I had the same one in my '88 and ripped it out for the love of CD's in about 1996. I couldn't quite remember what it looked like. There it is. Nice truck.
