Speedo Cable Installation

Mine broke in two and I ordered a new one from Toyota. It was kinda pricey at $83 but I wanted Toyota parts. Not saying others can't work it's just my preference.

My question is about installation. Do I just feed it in one end and keep working it through? What kind of lube should I use? Should I expect any hurdles?

I am not replacing the entire housing and fittings, just the cable itself. Thanks
