speaker help?

How do you know what size speakers to replace existing ones that have blown? and does anyone have any recommendations as to what speakers are better than others?

if you go to crutchfield.com or just this link if it works
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/a...r%2fMyCar.aspx
you can put in your vehicle specifications and it will tell you exactly what size you need for your particular vehicle and give you suggestions on deals the have
or you can just go look somewhere else now that u know the size
ur probably lookin at 6.5" in doors, 4" in dash if you have any in the dash
but check out that site, its a big help and should work just right for ya

Dunno bout your truck, but mine (86) has 4" speakers in front and 6x9's in the rear.... Although I am pretty positive the rear was originally 6x8.
