Spark Plug wires

Spark Plug wires
I just had a few issues with spark plug wires. First time one wire melted on the EGR pipe but I didn't really notice it until it got real bad and the engine was working with it missing for a few weeks. It happened again, this time, a wire came loose from the dist cap. The wire was only barely loose for a long time as I notice it running a little rough but couldn't determine why. Eventually it came totally loose and I noticed it then. The end of that wire that plugs up to the dist cap had bad corrosion so I replaced the wires (again.) Question is, should I do anything else, or take any other actions such as replacing plugs (only 25k on em), since two cylinders were running without any juice for a few weeks or so?

There should be sparkplug wire 'fingers' that keep the wires off the EGR pipe and exhaust manifold. If yours are missing I'd find some replacements. About the plugs, 25kmiles is just about time to replace them so I'd get a new set.
