I am taking advantage of the sun up here for once. I started to cut off stuff on the axle. I don't suppose someone has a reference for what gets cut. I saw on a few build threads were some things were cut off on one axle and on others they were not.

The only thing i cut off were the stock anti sway bar brackets and the stock steering stabilizer bracket, the upper trac bar bracket was already gone.

I ordered the Marlin knuckle gussets, so the stock shock mounts are going to be cutoff soon.

When I started to tear into the axle
I know a few spots over by Hyampom. Also, off the Go Road up by Orleans. This time of year the Bear hunters get in there and tear the roads to hell. Makes for some GREAT mud wheeling. I got stuck once over there and this dope grower guy and his buddy pulled me out lol.
Off FS 1 there are some great spots the closer you get to Mad River (36) oh and Hells Half at the bottom where the South Fork of the Trinity is. That is a rocky carnival ride of fun let me tell you! I wrecked my truck on that road a few years back and walked all the way to FS 1 before someone picked me up. Thats like 7 miles!! ahhahahha

Trail Ready!!!! From MSR in Redway Ca.
I know that pick is kinda dark.
I am amazed how fast my Sawzall cuts this axle. I thought I was gonna have to fight with that all morning.
Let the grinding commence

Thats a tough question to answer. I am trying to do this in steps and keep the truck mobil the whole time lol.
I hope to have the rear end re geared with the locker done sometime in the next two weeks. Then I can work on the front. In between all the BS I have going on I will continue to work on cleaning up the SA. I have a big show I am getting ready for in April and that is draining my time. But, eh I have to eat. I hope to have this thing done by spring.
We should race to see who gets done first
Hey, is that bracket in the middle of the pic below suppose to come off? I think so but I wanted to make sure.
I love the smell of grinding in the morning!!!

I cut off both those brackets. in the picture.

Ones for the steering stabilizer and the other is for the anti sway bar.

I would love to race to see who gets done first. And the winner gets the losers truck!

Well maybe not. The only thing holding me back is MONEY! (see sig) lol

toyo - I cut off all the brackets in the last picture you posted, you have to if you plan on puting a brace on your axle.

904 - I'm running a 4" ifs elim kit and 5" classic rear kit w/6" shackle on all TG Junk

I know how low he's going and the price I quoted him so the 4" marlin kit doesn't make sense when your goal tire size is 32 or 33 inches
