Snorkel ideas

well im wating to put a snorkel on my 95 4runner 3.0.
well the only problem is i dont have the factroy air box, the orgianly woulndt seel rite not sure why but anyways, so i did the isr mod and put on a cone filter well with the splash guard, well anyways im not sure where to start without haveing the factory air box, any ideas of what i could do to make a box or am i just going to have to fork up and but another one???

bump, any body have ideas for makeing an airbox for a snorkel???

run a search for ideas..lots of snorkels out there..

you don't HAVE to have the factory airbox for a snorkel either

theres a guy on here, think he has a blue 4Runner, might be a four banger though, but I think he made a filter box thingy with a snorkel...

good idea...what kind of filter do you use???

ill give that try and see what i can do, the cookie tin is brillinat, i was thinking i might just have to make somthing from scratch lol

Yeah there may be one somewhere... maybe two trying to copy that.

Search may be an asset.

i'm sure we could get this big boy onto a truck or 4runner!



found that just outside of my college town...theres about 5 trucks out there just like that..with the same snorkel...kinda weird? lol but still cool!

The filter that came with the Weber. I traced the base of the filter to the lid of the cookie tin. Then I cut it out, bolted the lid between the carb and the base of the filter.

I used a PVC adapter from Lowes (roof gutter) to connect the flexable tube (dryer duct) to the pipe. Also from Lowes.


I got the snorkle head off Ebay.
