Sloppy shifter and shifting

Is there any way to make out shifting more solid and fluid in movement? (Talking about the shifter it's self.)

Also I think my clutch cylinder needs to be bleed, I’m getting sloppy engagements into gears.

Your shifter seat has likely disintegrated.

see the bottom for new shifter seats

or the top of the page here: http://www.marlincrawler.com/htm/tra...rans_parts.htm

Take off the shifter knobs, remove the shifter boots, and then pull the shifter base out.

Shouldn't take much longer than 20 mins in and out.

You don't even need to pull the shifter base off, just leave it bolted up. If the bushing has broken into hundreds of tiny pieces like is very common, you may need to remove the tower to clean all the pieces out.

FWIW, even if you can't clean it all out, thats ok. The shifter seat is soft enough it wont hurt your trans.

This what I need as well.

I clicked on the correct year/model of vehicle, but I still have a choice. Which ones fit a '91 V6 Runner?

Thanks

I.e. the W56 A or B? Or the "all other"?

W series trannies are for the 4cyl Truck, so you have "all other" trans type lol. You have an R151F trans.

Call marlin, tell them what you have, and order it on the phone.
