Assuming your gauge is accurate, it reads higher than mine. Mine is slightly below half-way point.

BTW, have you observed operation of your fan clutch (aka Liquid Coupling)? There's discussion about that on this thread.

I notice the my hose that's on bottom of the radiator was swelled up. It was bigger than top hose. Is that normal?

My fan shroud is gone because of begin broken in several places ,there is resistance when I spin the fan.

Inspect it thoroughly. Replace if suspect. It might already have a weak spot ready to burst. A hose is less expensive than teh engine that could overheat if it blows.

Replace the fan shroud. It helps concentrate the action of the fan so more air is pulled through the radiator.

Unfortunately, resistance is objective. However, I would think there should be more resistance when radiator is hot than when radiator is cold. That's how I understand fan clutch should work. I am waiting for others with with known good/new fan clutch to chime in with their observation/experience.

I happen to have a brand spanking new set of OE upper and lower hoses for a 91 22RE in my hands and they look like the same diameter to me. Unless the 86 is different I'd replace them both pretty quick.
Might as well do the heater hoses while you're at it, all it takes is one hose in the heating/cooling system bursting and you're done. Piece of mind is good to have...

After hotrodding small block Chevy's for 20+ years that is my understanding of how a fan clutch works. I can't imagine the Toyota clutch assembly works some kind of magic by freewheeling when the engine is hot, seems wonky to me

Definitely replace the fan shroud!
Collecting and directing the air efficiently helps more than most think. Having the stock fan and shroud helps create a much higher volume of air being drawn through the radiator when stopped or in slow moving traffic. Automobile manufacturers have their stock cooling systems pretty well worked out until more demand is created by building the engine, significantly adding weight or towing heavy stuff.

Just want to post this link, more than you ever wanted to know about cooling systems.

I just replaced all of my coolant hoses and I am glad I did. I had a small oil leak by the lower radiator hose which caused it to swell up. It looked like it could have burst at any time.

Well I've solved my problem it was my oil and oil pump. The oil pump had all kinds of crap in it and on it. Put it back together and replaced the oil pan gasket . I put Pennzoil 10w-40 in it. Drove the truck a few miles .The temperature gauge went to half way then back down to 1/4. Now time to sell the truck.
