Shifting problems

I got stuck the other day and ever since my truck has been close to impossible to put into gear. With the clutch to the floor if I try to put it in gear it makes a slight grind and I have to force it. Just replaced the slave cylinder and it didn't seem to help. Any ideas anyone?

Can you have someone watch the clutch fork while you push the pedal? Is the master cyl still full?I don't know enough about the guts of the tranny itself

Check to see if your clutch pedal bracket isn't cracked or broken.

Were you pushing in the brake pedal thinking it was the clutch pedal?

No lie, that was the problem I came across when I saw this girl stressing out in the campus parking lot many many years ago. She was nearly starting to cry because she was going to be late for a new job she had just started. I asked if I could help, got into her 240sx (or something like that) and started it right up!

The guy that sold it to me had a new clutch put in, whoever did it didn't tighten the bell housing bolts and the bottom ones eventually fell out causing the tranny to separate a little bit. All better now
