-I've got the diagrams, those part numbers are: one for the shifter seat (33505-35020).
and the other (33542-31010 socket) is for the pivot bushing...Nothing related with the transfer shifter seat...Well, I' ll give it a try...Thanks again..!!

Ok, ...six months later, .... how's that bushing/socket set working for ya? hahahaha. Actually, ...just about to install my Marlin Crawler set, .... came today, 24hrs. later, like they'd promised, lol.

Soooooo,.... angled needle nose pliers(check)......... Maybe Vice Grips(check)... Socket set(check)... that it? lol. Didn't see pics of you reinstalling it, but doesn't sound that complicated. Just thought I'd comment on yer thread, anyhow, 87,....hope you're well, man!

Glad to hear, 87, ....have a good'n!

Right, ....well, since flushing the gear oil really well, ....I've actually made it worse, lol... When I shift into fourth, it has to be done with PRECISION SKILL AND TIMING AND MANIPULATION! hahaha. You know what I mean.... Just the right time and rpm verses the wiggleage in! lol. This can't hurt, so Marlin will be having a spot in a long line of yet another one of many parts on my rig. hehe

its a 87 22re/5spd
Thank you guys for posting this thread it saved me ton if money. I thought my tranny 3rd and 5th synchro was going because if I didn't shift exactly where those gears were it would kinda grind (if RPMs were up high ) but swapped these out the plastic bushing on the seat was completely disintegrated!!! Just rubber was intact. When I put the new ones in every gear shifted soooooo smooth man 20$ worth if bushings and grease saved me 2000$ so happy I found this that I created an account for this post. I am moving out if state for a new job and will essentially be on my own. The whole time this tyranny issue would have been a lingering problem that I would have been worried about! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

These from Marlin Crawler work even better. Had 'em in the 88 and got them in the 94...feels like a brand new tranny. And probably last longer than the factory seats.

Used same Marlin Crawlers' on my 86, too. Better than rubbery Toyota ones.
