krylon camo rattle can. This pic makes it look better than it really is. Has lots of streaks and laid down in different colors.

sanding down that krylon crap this summer and spraying on some good stuff.

I like the coverage with the Rustoleum camo, much more than the Krylon. Love the low and bobbed look of that 4Runner, 88runnerrr. Very nice.

Looks perfect. What kind of paint? Did you spray or roll?

Looks like you did your valance too. That's not the original grille and front bumper is it? Was the truck originally white?

The paint is Omni AU and it was sprayed in a friends garage. The front bumper and grille was pulled off a DLX version of my pickup that I picked up from the junkyard and yes, it was originally white. I sprayed it Toyota super white and added blue pearl. I still have to wet sand and polish it up. After that the blue will show very well.

Thank you!

I have an original build thread if you would like to check it out. It has come a LLLLLOOOONNNNGGGGG way since I orignally purchased it.

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f212...-grave-231390/

The truck is actually a 91. Whoever moved the thread to the build-up section renamed it and added the 93 thinking that the truck was also a 93 because of my screen name.

That's an amazing story of how you brought that truck back to life. I'm sure all that TLC will be rewarded with many miles down the road. You're lucky to have such a well-stocked wrecking yard nearby. Not everyone does.

I never realized until recently all the advantages that 2WD trucks have over 4WD models. Quicker, better mileage, cheaper, easier to work on, more reliable since there's fewer parts to go bad, and less maintenance. And probably more durable too. On the downside though, I guess they don't look as cool.

Back to the paint job though, looks great.

All i can say is for good quality paint and good price you have to go with PPG! Thats all i spray with.

Here are 3 trucks I have painted. I used Nasson. James Dean has used the better quality of paint and the paint I would of liked to have used. I paid around $250 for each truck ($750 total) for the paint, hardner, and clear coat materials, for each truck.

Best thing I could say is to jump in and do it. Especially if it is a rough looking truck, you are only going to improve it.
