I both like the look of the flat/matt paint and figure it will be easier to apply and cover up some of the minor dings. I want to paint my truck a matt/flatt desert tan kind of color and then go and have the bottom 1/3 Line-X'ed in black. I think it would look pretty sharp.
As far as durability, ive put a few scratches in it wheeln and with a lite compound they have come right out, but it shined it up a bit in those spots. So far ive been very pleased with the paint, just be sure and put some wax on or it will oxidize, a common flaw with single stage paint.

NICE RIG, TOO! SFA 4DOOR....AND A DIESEL! Wow, if you weren't in EU, you'd probably have 30 private messages already, begging you to sell! lol. Seriously... LIKE the truck!
Köszönöm! Thanks! We have plenty of these diesel powered double cabs around here, someone should send a shipload of 'em to the States!

I painted mine last summer using a Harbour Freight spray gun, Crastman air compressor and I used Parker Duck Boat Paint.

awesome job on the side panels richf. I'm not that brave mine are rusted around the wheel well I plan on just cutting it out and replacing the metal this summer. I painted mine straight out of the spray can and came out far better than expected. I'd love to throw some pics up but I'm still lost on the photo url to do so.

I remember back when I had been researching paints and stuff hardly anyone had the desert tan and I decided when I paint mine to do it, but now I am beginning to rethink it. But I agree Desert Tan and Flat Black looks good.
