I once spent 2 hours on and off trying to yank out a Silverado that was laying frame, 35's, crazy cv angle, 4lo and no broken cv's. So I beg to differ with all these statements.

You get used to talk like that around here after a while. It's called web wheeling and it gets old but never goes away.

Krepas, looking good man...

all you guys have realy nice yota's. Im new to the site and i have been looking around trying to figure what to do with my 91 4x4 22re pickup. it is basicaly stock, and i dont want to mess around with no flex ifs. I have been thinking of doing sas 8" lift and 35" tires or somthing. Do any of you have sugestions, and what i would be looking at for money? im thinking around $4000 give or take, all work done myself. thanks!

8" lift is WAY too much IMO.

Im clearing 36"s absolutely fine on a 4" sas kit.. i think i could go to 37's-38's with very minor trimming..

$4000 might be enough..
I spent over $2000 on just the front and i still havn't gotten longs yet.
Is that $4000 price tag for the tires as well?

yes i agree with that and would prob do 4" to 6" susp, on 35"s or 36", lockers, diff gears. $4000 is just a ruff guess, though i know it will be more lol. are u running lockers and gears? could you give me an idea of what i should do while i get under my truck and how much you ruffly spent? when i get the money i want to do it right and all in one shot.

i like your truck there, but i want solid axle in the front, my ifs rightnow doesnt flex worth a damn and im sure i could relax the t bars, but u cant beat solid axles flex. Im just planning on driving mine as is untill i have the money to do sas, even if i do sas at the same height as mine now, with 32" tires, i would be happy lol. o and i cant stand body lifts, they are damn ugly lol.

this thread is encouraging. I am planning on running 35 txrus mts on steelies on my 88 4runner. Im throwing the 3" ome springs in the back with a lockrite. Since my fenders are rusting away, Im willing to do some significant trimming. Hopefully I wont have to crank my tbars to much. Im not running any lift.

hey i know this post is old but this is exactly what i plan to do to my 1991 4runner. I've got the pro comp stage II lift on the way and i have high clearance fenders. I was debating on whether to put 35's or 33's on but if the 35's will fit easily i'll opt for those. I'm hoping the 5.29 change will make it possible to drive those tires in the hills of colorado.
