Runner wont stay started

It will start and die right away the first two tries. after that, it doesnt turn over. it tries, but the engne doesnt fire. i dont know what to think of it. it was running fine a few days ago and then this happened. Also, when i turn the key to the on position, my check engine light doesn't come on. at all. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions. I dont know what it could be. i check the fuel pump, the spark plugs. battery is fine. i can't figure this one out. any help would be greatly appreciated!

is the VAFM plugged in? Is there an air leak in the intake or other vacuum leak?

Maybe the TPS is completely haywire, or the idle adjustment?

Does this occur when the engine is overnite cold, or does it do it with a warm or cold engine? If cold, could be the cold start injector or low fuel pressure ( plugged filter or failing pump). Mine had similar problems and it turned out to be the fuel pump.

Even in the middle of the day if it's not been running at all, that's a cold engine. Test the cold start injector.

It started before. And that doesn't really justify why it would turn over and die twice and on the third time, wont. hmmm.....
