RPM/Throttle Issue

On idle when I rev up my engine and let go the RPM never drops back to the same spot. It will drop to 500 - 1100 rpm. What is the problem and where should I look? Thinking might be a throttle body issue.
Car is a 93 pickup v6

Thanks

sounds like a sticky throttle cable. You could try disconnecting all the cables, and do your revving experiment with your finger on the throttle.
