RockAuto Knock Sensors?

Browsing rockauto for knock sensors, are the choices they have on there a good replacement? Ultra-Power, Beck/Arnley, WVE, Standard Motor Products, NTK? Any of these acceptable replacements? I actually broke the plastic on top of the existing knock sensor

What engine? I'd recommend OEM only, especially for the 3.0 V6. There are dozens of nightmare threads from people who tried to save a few bucks and ended up paying twice.

yea its a 3.0. Its hard to justify $250 for a split second mistake. The metal connector is still in place, wondering if I could solder the connector wire on at this point

That eBay seller states that the sensor you're using is "unbranded." So I don't think I could call it made by the "Original Equipment Manufacturer." Maybe what the seller meant was that it was OEM "like," as contrasted with a "universal" replacement.

But a report of personal experience counts for a lot, and 6 months seems a fair test.

Wow, that $11.88 eBay sensor seems awfully cheap, considering that a known OEM one from Toyota is $277.81 MSRP.

That is like buying a new 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser for a few thousand dollars. Something seems fishy......

hmm perhaps the listing changed since I bought it? Mine arrived in OEM packaging with the OEM part number.
Either way, would not recommend an after market part as that what I ended up having to replace...

Well, I'm pretty sure Toyota never made their own knock sensors. As best I can tell the OEM for our knock sensors was Denso. It appears Denso doesn't make knock sensors anymore. https://densoautoparts.com/ So to get a knock sensor, we'll have to rely on NOS, or aftermarket. This seller
Amazon Amazon
claims to be selling genuine Denso branded knock sensors for $40. Amos Elam's original question was whether anyone here had experience with certain aftermarket knock sensors. stefanc provided his success story, as fishy as the seller's claim of "OEM" may be.

It does raise the question of who makes the $200 knock sensor sold today by Toyota dealers. https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/T...961550010.html

How bad is the plastic busted? Perhaps you can fix it with J & B weld epoxy adhesive? The sensor is a piezo electric crystal inside which produces a voltage signal to the ECM when the engine is knocking. If the electrical connection is still intact I would try this approach if you are willing to risk the assembly disassembly time to install it again?...
