Well my '86 only uses 1 of the 3. The others are plugged.

The one that is used snakes around to the VSV for the AC system.

Even in the online '93 manual it only shows 2 being used.

Mine (92) only uses 2 of them one is capped off. Are you sure you're just not missing a cap?

Do you have a picture from BEFORE you took the gasket off??

How about crossing over to my thread (see the green text at the bottom of this post) and see what you think.

I see oil in your head-bolt holes similar to mine.

You left your block in right?? If you did, what did you do to the holes to make sure they were clean (IE: how did you get that oil out of them?

Be sure to replace ALL gaskets that you break into with new ones, I can not tell you how many people I have seen have major problems by trying to recycle a $15 intake manifold gasket or even burn a valve from a bad gasket.

I had an 87 4Runner with 220K miles and 31X10.5 mud tires and I topped out at about 70 mph on a good day
I think that was partly because the motor was old and tired coupled with the larger tires and maybe the speedo was off a bit as well because of the tire size

So, in your case with 33's 65 doesn't sound too bad
That said, my 90 4WD with 235X75X15's and a heavy cap gets up to 75-80 no problem and I think it would easily go faster I just haven't pushed it.

with my 33s i cannot go over 75 unless its a downhill grade. going uphill on an interstate, from 75, my truck will slow to under 70 - while floored in 4th. i try to shift to keep the rpms just above 3k. that seems to be where my power is. i rarely pass 4k rpms.

to correct this, i must get 4.88s or 5.29 gears. so i just take it easy on 'er until i can print the money to make that happen.
