Replaced Front Sway Bar Ends
The front sway bar ends were all boogered up so I replaced them with OEM parts from the dealer today. More pics to come:

I makes the turn-ins much more crisp. I'd say at highway speeds it would be dangerous to run without it. If you're a huge wheeler, get the removeable ones.
It cost about $80 at the dealer for the bolts, sleeves, rubber grommets, and washers. Kinda high, I thought, for what it was. I didn't even check anywhere but the dealer...

Yeah but how long did the stock stuff last? I bought aftermarket ball joints and they last about 7500 miles before they were blown. my stock ones lasted 150xxx miles before they blew out. i think will stick with stock.

Well done! I would have done the same thing on my 89 runner but I pulled the SB off during a tranny drop for a clutch change and forgot to put it back on. I didn't even remember it was gone until a few weeks later when I saw it on the side of the house.

I'd never was money on sway-bar parts on a Toyota IFS...Every IFS toy I've had, that was the first thing to come off. Have you ever ran it with no bars at highway speed? Much more responsive, rides SO much better, handles better, and improve flex. I feel SAFER with it off.

ya that's pretty steep.... for that i'd rather get a set of disco's made. i have ran without the front in the past but i'm driving back home from santa fe in the next two weeks and i'd rather have it functioning.

4banginRunner: I get a LOT more tipping with it off on hard turns. Not sure what the gravity is on your planet, but here it's not enough to prevent rolling my truck over....

most peeps with pickups don't think it's as bad as 4runners are. Personally, my junk feels super top heavy even with them attached. It's not like taking them off makes you more hardcore.....

no it doesn't make you more hardcore. I Took mine off back when iwas running ifs and perfered it off. However i tried the rear sway bar removal and that was SCARY with the landcruiser coils in the back.
Just remember your driving a truck not a sports car. So don't drive like your in one.
After getting my truck to the point where its at now, there is still a bit of body roll, but you learn to live with it. Honestly ive gotten so used to driving mine with the lean it has, it is annoying driving a stock 3rd gen 4runner at first cause it handles sooo much better.
As far as the swaybar off, i noticed no additional flex, so just leave it on if you want, if you don't want it then take it off.

well you've got a pretty big ride now 904, i agree with what you said though.
ps. i need a ride in your beast when i get back in chico in a few weeks! also, might be doing a 3.4 swap in my room mates runner (blown gasket) so i think you're proximity and knowledge may be very valuable...
