Replace No.2 Idler Pulley without pulling cam gears?

Does anyone have a trick for this?

I can get the 2 front bolts out, but I can't find a way to get at the 2 rear bolts. The fuel rail crossover is blocking me from every angle I can think of.

I tried going in from the front with a universal joint. Tried going in from above/behind which took 2 universal joints, but can't get leverage to break it.

Is there any way to get at this mofo without pulling the cam gears?

NM. Got it. Put the socket on without the extension. Then brought the extension down through the top.

I got mine with a wobbly extension. With out removing any fuel stuff.

Good job you got it. Make sure you sand down the idler and plenum before throwing RTV on there, and dont skimp on the RTV either. Mine leaked and coolant ran all the way back to the exhaust and caused a nice smoke show at red lights.

Thanks Tubby. I was actually able to clean everything off the plenum with a razor style gasket scraper. I did have to take some sandpaper to the mounting surface for the waterpump.

Truck has been back together for 2 days now, and seems good to go.
