The wiring in the auto trucks is different. You have to move some wires around in the connectors if you want a 5sp cluster to work.

Np man. I just remembered I had a pic of that lighting on photobucket. Here ya go:

I also pulled the climate control and replaced that bulb with one I wrapped in red repair tape (looks great). It made so much difference in nightime glare and fatigue on long trips. Also matched up with my JBL stereo too (scheme on that is blue screen with red buttons).

I didn't know the wiring was different on the autos, I just didn't want one with the ETC lights and just held out till I found a 4cyl, 5 speed one. Good find on that one in the junkyard. If you find any more they do pretty well on ebay (anywhere between $50-75). I watch out for that kind of stuff every time I go to the junkyard. Let us know how it turns out man!

I dont get it. It looks like you are saying the EFI does not need a tach wire to do the installation, but mine did need a tach wire. I must be communicating poorly or something.. I had to install a tach wire when i installed my cluster. I dont have a carb.

I have a 94 and installed the SR5 cluster and the tach does not work. Where does the wire run from and to.

Thanks.
