Rebuilding W56

Has anybody attempted this my syncros or something is going in my tranny it is getting harder to get into 2 & 3 when down shifting while slowing down truck has over 213k and I am sure it is time so if anybody has any input please let me know..

Have you checked the shifter seat bushing and the end bushing?

I've heard people talk about them I need to check them first I guess..Does andbody have a link to the FSM that would show the tranny??

check with marlin crawler... he has std and HD rebuild kits and probally can offer all the assistance you need..

The tans are easy to rebuild if you have the right tools. Will need a good hydraulic press and gear puller. If nothing has broke inside and all the gears are still good, just replacing the synchros would not be to bad. Again it is a tools thing.
