Rear window problem(searched)

At first happy New year to everyone!

Yesterday, my rear window started giving me trouble. It works fine from inside, but it won't close with a key. It goes down with a key fine. Did anybody had similar problem?
Could it be just the lock that is giving me problems or is it something more complex?

I assume the key operates a DPDT switch which in turn causes the window's motor to run one direction or the other...I have no experience with getting to that key/switch...sorry

I'd try spraying some alcohol in there and clean it out sometimes thats all it needs.

Check out my rear window web page:

Big clue would be if your license plate lights work or not.
