Rear window problem 88 4runner

Help; I took off my top on my 1st gen 4runner last weekend. This weekend I put it back on cuz it's raining... BUT my rear window does not want to go up!! Is there a limit switch on the top that's failed when I took the top off? Can I by pass it? Thanks for the help; my 4runner is getting wet
P.S. I did reconnect the plug that runs power to the wiper washer on the canopy... window still won't roll up...

one of the bolts near the back on the drivers side & I am sure the plug neat the back for wipers needs to be plugged in .
