Anyone ever tried using these helper springs to lift the rear end? Looking for some advice.

never seen those in my life. just get some rancho add a leafs and go with those. either way it seems like you will still have to do the same amout of work to put them on so might as well go with something proven

 

They are "helpers" for load. They will not add lift or have a noticeable effect the ride. If you sagg in the back get an add a leaf.

 

I don't know about those things. I seems to me that this product is for a loaded up pickup bed or a heavy trailer. Also if your car is already sagged they may be compressed even when the truck is unloaded when installed. I would stick with a good AAL. I ran 2 different AAL's in my 88 4runner. First i had the pro-comp Aal's, they were way stiff and made the truck sit way high. I changed them to the rancho soft ride AAls and i couldn't be happer.

I built longer shackles and kept the nice ride.

 

I can't remember where I saw it, but I remember reading about a guy that built his own "helper" springs out of TJ front coils. He said he got about 2" of lift out of them, and they work well.

The only down side I can really see to using that type of a set up is loss of droop. Sure you're regaining your original ride height, but it's also going to require a lot more(and a fancier retaining system) to make sure that when you droop the axle, the coil stays where it's supposed to.

I have a saggy 89' Four Runner also. I went to ranchos site and they do not list toyota as an option. I would like to replace the rear leafs or add a leaf. I am not looking for lift, just to get the sag out as I want to keep close to stock. I just put on new Rancho 9000's that where stock length. Any site recommended vendors with a leaf spring kit/fit for this?
